{"id":6562,"date":"2023-05-09T19:01:36","date_gmt":"2023-05-09T23:01:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/?p=6562"},"modified":"2023-05-09T19:01:36","modified_gmt":"2023-05-09T23:01:36","slug":"season-ends-at-mulberry-high-school-on-may-6-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/?p=6562","title":{"rendered":"Season Ends at Mulberry High School on May 6 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We held our last STEM Electrathon Event for the 2022 2023 Season at Mulberry High School on Saturday, May 6th.<\/p>\n<p>We thank Mulberry Sponsor Todd Thuma, his team and MHS Administration for hosting our event.<\/p>\n<p>We welcome back the University of South Florida team.<\/p>\n<p>The pit area was full of energy as teams got ready for the last race day of the season<a href=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/?attachment_id=6564\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6564\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/pits-b4-races.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6564\" \/><\/a>The teams met with our Race Steward for instructions, flag identification and safety protocols.<\/p>\n<p>The track opened for 30 minutes so that drivers could run practice laps.<\/p>\n<p>The teams lined up for the first race<a href=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/?attachment_id=6567\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6567\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/race-1-line-up.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6567\" \/><\/a>The green flag dropped and off they went.<br \/>\nDuring the first race Kinetic Industries car 19 had a rear tire issue that sent them to the pits. USF car 48 went in and out of the pits so they could make adjustment. The high school teams ran strong as they worked to end the race season as the season point\u2019s winner. Mulberry car 100 had an issue that sent them to the pits.<\/p>\n<p>When the checkered flag dropped, ending the first race, the results were:<br \/>\nHigh School Class<br \/>\n1st Place Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation car 555 with 93 laps<br \/>\n2nd Place Middleton car 133 with 75 laps<br \/>\n3rd Place Mulberry car 38 with 74 laps<br \/>\n4th Place Plant City car 83 with 63 laps<br \/>\n5th Place Middleton car 80 with 61 laps<br \/>\nMulberry car 100 completed 7 laps (6.15.023) they did not have a cumulative 10 minutes of racing and did not receive season points for this race.<\/p>\n<p>Open Class<br \/>\n1st Place Tiger Racing car 4 with 90 laps<br \/>\n2nd Place Kinetic Ind. car 99 with 80 laps<br \/>\n3rd Place Ryno car 360 with 68 laps<br \/>\n4th Place Silver Bullet car 94 with 66 laps<br \/>\n5th Place Kinetic Ind. car 19 with 35 laps<\/p>\n<p>Advanced Class<br \/>\n1st Place S &#038; J Racing car 256 with 88 laps<br \/>\n2nd Place Silver Bullet car 13 with 60 laps<br \/>\n3rd Place USF car 48 with 48 laps<\/p>\n<p>Between races teams worked on their cars and ate some lunch.<\/p>\n<p>Teams lined up for the second race<a href=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/?attachment_id=6568\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6568\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/electrathonoftampabay.org\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/race-2-line-up.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6568\" \/><\/a>The green flag dropped and the teams found their line on the track. Kinetic car 19 had another rear tire issue, sending them to the pits. Teams went through some tires but got them changed out and back into the race.<\/p>\n<p>When the checkered flag dropped ending the second race, the results were:<br \/>\nHigh School Class<br \/>\n1st Place Kirkland Ranch car 555 with 85 laps<br \/>\n2nd Place Plant City car 83 with 83 laps<br \/>\n3rd Place Middleton car 80 with 72 laps<br \/>\n4th Place Mulberry car 38 with 67 laps<br \/>\n5th Place Middleton car 133 with 63 laps<br \/>\n6th Place Mulberry car 100 with 43 laps<\/p>\n<p>Open Class<br \/>\n1st Place Tiger Racing car 4 with 88 laps<br \/>\n2nd Place Kinetic Ind. car 99 with 82 laps<br \/>\n3rd Place Silver Bullet car 94 with 75 laps<br \/>\n4th Place Ryno car 360 with 73 laps<br \/>\n5th Place Kinetic Ind. car 19 with 16 laps<\/p>\n<p>Advanced Class<br \/>\n1st Place S &#038;
