As the start of the new school year is upon us here is some exciting and\u00a0important information.<\/p>\n
The SkillsUSA\u00a0State Championships\u00a0<\/strong>will be held at the Lakeland Center in April<\/strong>.\u00a0 Dates are not set but it will be held over two days.\u00a0 We will hold races both days.\u00a0 The regional competition will be held locally at Tampa Bay Tech, Middleton High School and Erwin Technical Center.\u00a0 The skills competition, our races, will be on the first day.\u00a0 Dates are not set but it will be early February.<\/strong><\/p>\n SkillsUSA competitions are held during the week so no weekend racing.<\/p>\n When talking with Dale Fasenmeyer, the District Rep for SkillsUSA, we talked about requirements for Electrathon Clubs to participate.\u00a0 The take away from the meeting is SkillsUSA = S.T.E.M. = Electrathon.\u00a0<\/strong> <\/em>That means just about any program with an electrathon\u00a0car\u00a0is eligible.\u00a0 High School and Post Secondary<\/p>\n Electrathon Of Tampabay will be holding a meeting in August and the regional SkillsUSA will hold an organizational meeting in Sept.\u00a0 I will be at both meetings\u00a0so stand by for more detailed information.<\/p>\n Vic.
