Mulberry HS “Dash” November 16, 2024

We held our STEM Electrathon “Dash” Event at Mulberry High School on November 16, 2024. Our dash race allows drivers to safely test their cars performance/durability for the most laps in 20 minutes.

We thank Mulberry HS Sponsor Todd Thuma and his Administration for hosting our event.

We thank everyone that arrived early to help with set up.

The teams arrived and got their cars inspected We missed our Middleton HS team and hope to see them soon.

Teams met with race officials for the drivers meeting The first race of the day was our open and advanced cars. We had six cars line up for the competition, two advanced battery and four open class cars Po EV car 39 had a chain issue and ended their first race early When the checkered flag dropped it was:

1st Place Tiger Racing car 4 with 36 laps and a race time of 20.30.283
2nd Place Silver Bullet car 94 with 36 laps and a race time of 20.31.209
3rd Place Shark Family car 5 with 31 laps
4th Place FL State College at Jacksonville car 904 with 27 laps

Advanced
1st Place University of South FL car 132 with 38 laps
2nd Place Pro EV car 39 with 5 laps

The second race was our high school teams. We had six cars line up. The teams did very well. When the checkered flag dropped it was:

1st Place Plant City car 210 with 36 laps
2nd Place Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation car 555 with 34 laps
3rd Place Plant City car 83 with 31 laps and a race time of 20.18.777
4th Place Mulberry car 38 with 31 laps and a race time of 20.34.265
5th Place Lyman car 12 with 28 laps
6th Place Mulberry car 100 with 22 laps

The third race of the day was our high school, college sponsor and executive board member’s race. This allows our team sponsors and ETO board members to enjoy the experience of driving an Electrathon.

We had five cars line up for this race. FL State College at Jacksonville ended their race after 9 laps when their car landed up on a medium between turn one and two, the driver was fine, due to safety measures and equipment.

2nd Place Mr. Mitchell in Plant City car 210 with 36 laps

3rd Place Mr. Moye in Lyman car 12 with 31 laps

4th Place Mr. Thuma in Mulberry car 38 with 28 laps

5th Place Mr. Rodriguez in FL State College at Jacksonville car 904 with 9 laps (picture not Mr. Rodriquez)

The fourth race of the day was our high school teams. We had six cars line up for this competition. Once again, our high school teams did very well. When the checkered flag dropped it was

3rd Place Plant City car 210 with 33 laps
4th Place Lyman car 12 with 31 laps and a race time of 20.11.745

6th Place Mulberry car 100 with 31 laps and a race time of 20.18.431

The 5th and final race of the day was our open and advanced cars. We had six cars line up for the race. Pro EV car 39 completed 18 laps before a motor issue ended their race day Thank You Cliff for the videos
