Energy Whiz at FSEC April 26, 2025 (Eastern Florida State College)

We held our STEM Electrathon Event in conjunction with Energy Whiz at Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa Florida on April 26, 2025.

The weather was awesome, nice temperatures and a slight breeze to keep the air flowing.

We thank Florida Solar Energy Center/Susan and their great team for including us again this year.

The teams arrived and got their cars inspected by Mike Ralph. We welcome back Palm Bay Electrathon Team (2 cars) and hope they continue to join us at our STEM Electrathon Events.

We welcomed teams from Nease and Creekside HS that made to trip to race at this venue.

Teams met with race officials for the drivers meeting. We had thirteen cars line up for our first race of the day.The green flag dropped and teams found their path on the course. The Palm Bay team had their share of challenges with their car 102 but the crew did not give up, they resolved the issues and got their cars back into the race, overall, the race went well.

We did have a driver that kept sliding down in their car and had to have help getting back into driving position to see over the front of the car. We won’t mention the drivers name (Todd) but it was fun to watch.
