We held our STEM Electrathon Event at Mulberry High School on Saturday, May 9th.
We thank everyone for their help getting set up before the race and cleaned up after the race.
Once again, Trish and Mike did a great job making our trophies.
The teams arrived, got their pit areas set up so Mike Ralph could inspect their car(s).
We welcome Palm Bay Magnet back to our STEM competitions.
We Thank Rafael Morales for coming out to our event, taking pictures and posting them on our Facebook page.
Teams met with Race Officials for the drivers meeting.
Our first race of the day had 10 cars line up.
Team Power car 555 from Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation had electrical issues that took some time to track down keeping them in the pits the entire first race.
The green flag dropped and teams found their path on the course.
The first race went really well; a few teams had tire issues but got them changed and their car back in the race. Lyman car 12 seemed to have an issue throttling up which sent them to the pits.
When the checkered flag dropped it was:

2nd Place KRAI Team Power car 83 with 81 laps

In between races teams worked on their cars and had lunch.
Our second race had 11 cars line up.
Once again, teams had issues with tires. Mulberry car 38 seemed to have the most challenges as the same wheel just did not want to stay inflated or popped.
We thank future Electrathon Team members Hanna and Tosia for waving the checkered flag, ending our second race.
